Hello, I need some advice as to what Telefloral does when you are sent to the so-called big dogs in collection. Long story, but I refuse to pay my Telefloral bill. It's so ridiculous. I said do not put me in the directory, I want to quit Telefloral, when they called for correct info in August for the November book. Sent them an e-mail in August (which I considered written) and also and a certified letter, but not until October. Talked to my rep approximately two weeks after he received the notification. He said he would try and do something and I never heard from him again. One month they sent me $100.00 in orders (July or August) and charged me $800.00. I cannot afford this. Of course, I am much more behind now. Any suggestions or help?

If you didn't follow the instructions in the directory, then your stuck for another cycle. Even if you missed it by a day, they'll hold you to it.

Your notice must be to them by certified mail at least 30 days prior to when they say they are about to print the directory. It is a bit ambiguous, so send your letter as soon as possible before the next cycle ends.

It probably doesn't matter when you send it since you are getting so few orders now. I say that because sometimes after you send the letter, they will punish you by not sending you orders. However, you will now be in the book for Valentines Day, hopefully you will get enough orders to make up for having to stay in an additional cycle.

When I got out they tried to say I had not sent letter in time, I had, and they backed down. I had an attny envolved in the sending of my letter and cc'd the attny on the bottom of my letter. I sent the letter instead of my attny, so that TF could not say, on a technicality that I the business had not sent the letter. (confusing a little but I know you see what I mean) TF does tend to ignore and not respond to your letters.

Mark a date on your calendar and be sure to send the letter on time. Keep copies of everything.

Why is your bill 800.00? Is that for more than one month? If you owe them that money you will have to pay it. If there is a disputed amount then you can hold that back until the dispute is decided.

Bottom line is you did it to yourself, and you have to follow the rules. After this is over I suggest you not get involved with any other WS's. I see since you joined you have only posted 6 times, I sure hope you have at least been reading the WS threads. If not search for these WS threads and read them!!

Good Luck!

also, if you are attached to TF with a POS, you will need to send a certified letter to someone that handles that end of terminations for TF. Maybe someone here has both addresses or maybe your helpful sales rep. can help you with the addresses.

Like carolyn said above.. You will have to dispute what you believe was wrongfully charged.. but as far as not paying... I know several florists that did not pay their Teleflora bill - for many different reasons.. and no one named Uncle Quido came and took out their knees!
They may settle with you on a lower amount if you drop them..

They don't take away your birthday or anything.. But if you owe for outgoing orders it would be wrong not to pay - as far as their fees and charges - they may have messed you over... but - in the end - you signed up to be messed over...

This is why I am BIG dog wire service free - Sorry - and Good luck!

Tf's rules are not clearly defined and I don't think she " did this to herself". Tf is a pain in the butt on every single level and getting away from them is the worst. It was easy for some on here but not for me. They sent bills for 2 yrs after I quit.

Chez, the "did it to herself" reference means she signed up with them without inquiring about the rules for getting out. If she hasn't paid her statements in awhile then she has further complicated the getting out process for herself. Yes the WS's are a "pain in the butt", and hard to get away from. I think we all pretty much agree on that, it's why I sent her to the WS threads to read.

Of course without details of the money breakdown, sounds like she owes them. Not that I would want her or anyone to have to pay it all, if in fact she is not receiving orders. Tammies suggestion of a settlement amount is a great one and I hope that August can work that out.
