My name is Dara Burke, I'm a web developer from Cork, Ireland who's launching a new business called TellitIT.com. Basically what we do is help small businesses boost profits and customer lifetime value by keeping them in touch with their customers via SMS, Email and Newsletter.

All of our services are opt-in from the customer's point-of-view and it takes only a second to subscribe and unsubscribe. The process is completely hands-free for the florist and the service integrates with any web infrastructure that you may or may not have already. We're also fully compliant with the CAN-SPAM Act and European Data Privacy Protection Laws.

The idea is that a customer will sign up to receive reminder messages for important events in their lives eg. Birthday's, Weddings, National Ho

Hi Guys,

Sorry, I think I misread the rules :-(

I'm basically a web marketer that works with smaller online and offline SME's such as florists. I'm starting a company that I'd like to introduce to the community and that I'd like to offer free sign up to one or two members (at first ).

However, I'd like to add, that I hope I can be a worthwhile member of the community in general and not just be thought of as someone who parrots his sales pitch over and over again.

With that in mind, I hope to spend time studying the online flower sales industry from a professional web marketer's perspective. I hope to be able to write about my findings in my blog and to come onto forums such as this one to share my thoughts with yourselves and hopefully answer any questions you might have.

I hope also, to be able to share my experience of online marketing with you about non-TellitIT related matters, while at the same time learning from members of this forum about the real issues facing florists in today's market.

I've already done some preliminary research into the flower trade I've completed my own informal survey which I've posted to the TellitIT.com blog entitled "Why don't men buy flowers ?".
