I don't get HQ msgs everyday 'cause I'm not at the shop all the time, however I'm still in charge of changing the website.
Last night I went to update the template and found a couple things that have changed since just before Christmas:
1. The New Design Templates aren't available using eSAT
2. The About Us page now includes a lengthy "Privacy Policy" that we had no input on before it was added. This paragraph has me concerned:
"We may share your information with Teleflora and other reputable vendors for the purpose of sending out special offers via email and/ or in connection with the services provided by our site such as the delivery of flowers. Your information will not be shared for any other purpose and will be kept secured."
Has anyone else noticed this? How long ago was this changed? As the owner of the domain, don't we have the right to put in our own "Privacy Policy" or at least change the one that's there?
I haven't been all that concerned about Teleflora interferring with our website (except for the email signup thing and the annoying image adding that happens without warning), but I think we should be!
Another thing I'm a little PO-ed about is that I brought it to TF's attention last year that the other flowershop in my little town still advertises that they have a shop in another town, which they closed just before Mother's Day last year. Yet, there it is still in their info, with a street address and everything.
I know, I know...!!! Lots of you will post JUST GET RID OF 'EM!! The plan is in the works but I'm not in the driver's seat anymore.
