Do any of you have the platinum of gold plan with TF? The platinum is $24.99 per month with a year contract. I have had the platinum plan and can't see that it's doing any good. The other 2 florists in my town both have platinum plans. Trying to get a good answer from the TF dude is almost impossible, so I yield to my most wise counterparts. That's all of you!!!:boggles:

three stores only listed? Drop it and let them fight for that crappy first spot - it's not worth the extra $$.

Had a plat plan for a year and got 2 orders. Only 5 people looked at the phone number. Pretty bad if you ask me.

Boss, it is supposed to bring more people to your website...of which tf gets their per order fee...not sure what the awful conversion is, not sure how people find find a florist, but it probably does give people a sense that they get better value with TF themselves rather than the actual shop...it did drive traffic there but not order worthy traffic...they didn't want what I had...not sure where the orders ended up...so I guess without full info it is anyones guess...

I can think of only 2 reasons the pay to be in a directory:

1) It brings good, qualified, on-topic traffic to your site.

2) It passes on-topic page rank to help boost your site in general search and local search.

I do see FAF in local citations under Google Maps, so it does help a bit there - just as a citation from an IYP or other recognized directory would.

If it's not bring much direct traffic, there are other lower priced directories that do pass page rank and are being used for local citations.
