TF web sites do not allow customers to order 2 items to the same person, it forces them to do 2 seperate orders and charges 2 delivery charges......I am happy with a lot of the updated features that TF currently does to their sites but why won't they allow a customer to add 2 items to cart on same order?

Is it only because they are greedy and want to collect the $2.50 per order charge? I hope not!

I wonder how many customers get frustrated and just give up after it doesnt allow you to add another item?!

I tried calling TF but have been on hold forever so thought I would get quicker answer here on FC!

PS- what made me ask this again is, I just recieved 4 internet orders going to the same person for a total of $440!! An awesome order huh! I emailed customer letting them know , sorry they had to enter 4 seperate orders and that I was deducting the extra delivery charges!

I'm hoping TF will look into allowing people to add items on same order!!!

Well, there are benefits and disadvantages to this. In our case, we are part of a delivery pool, and can usually put 2 vases on one delivery, depending on the size. Larger arrangements have to go on one delivery ticket or it will be refused by the drivers at pool.

On the other hand, for smaller arrangements it would be beneficial if they could do that for us.

Glad you brought this up though, I was going to look into something kind of like build-a-bear. Build your own arrangements with common flower choices and what not or maybe just so they could add the plush animal they like or something. I didn't think using TF interface would allow that and now I am positive of that.

Interflora's system allows multiple items to the same address, no extra charges,so its easily achievable.

Did you call the webmaster and see if this format is changeable. It may just be a default because most florists today charge a delivery per piece as this is how a great many pay their drivers. I would give them a ring or shoot them off an email to see if they can change it.

I just sent an email to the VP of Web Development at TF. I'll let you know if I get a response. I was in Oklahome City meeting with Web Devleopmeent earlier this month and this exact issue was addressed. Unfortunately, there are larger issues being addressed...such as, linking your POS system to your website and increasing web traffic for new and exisiting customers to your site. Currently, customers may only purchase one item at a time on all TF sites.
