I understand Tel HQ sending me TFWEB orders but it always leaves me scratching my head when I get one from another florist. What makes a florist want to show their customer these books? Which by the way have our recipes in them that customers should not be looking at. Unless the pictures the customers are looking at are on the florist websites. I may of just answered my own question here.

The florist has a teleflora website, teleflora puts on the TFWEB pictures with the way too low pricing a customer sees said picture, decides they want it sent to my area, florist passes it along to me, I refuse.

Are the florists not adding your delivery to it??? I have people order the tfweb bouquets from my site all the time for other areas and i send them along, I also add on the local delivery charge of 9.99 and if it is more I send it out of my service fee. I have never had a probem getting them filled this way...I have my web site set up that if you are ordering out of my delivery area, it automatically adds in delivery charge...I do try to make sure that the florist is codified for the item or has it on their site first and what they are listing the price as.

these are mostly the off the wall TFWEB orders with cymb orchids or pin cushions or some other special type of flower that we don't usually keep in stock or something for so way too low price.

I am getting them for the teleflora prices in the design book that says includes $7.00 for delivery.

In the last couple of week I have gotten about 3 from florist like this. I don't mind getting tfweb orders from florist as long as they are priced well, with delivery, not 39.99 including delivery with 3 roses lots of other flowers plus a special container.

I think what is happening is these are coming from shops that have teleflora websites and they are not monitoring their sites, teleflora is putting whatever they want on the site at whatever price they want and the florist are just leaving them that way and not checking, changing, monitoring or doing anything. Sad if you ask me. Who's website is it anyway? Teleflora's or theres?

Then again, I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

Well, I have to say that in many cases, I have taken this one particular arrangement off my website at least 15 times and low and behold it is on there again..It has dahlias, which here are only available in like june july and august...I hate them and never ever buy them, so I don't want it on my site...I just noticed 3 days ago it was back on there in the MD catagory...I hate that, once I set something to be inactive it shoudl stay that way forever...I haven't had time to sit down and remove it, and didn't someone order it just yesterday...while I had 1600.00 worth of funeral work to get out by 2pm....aaarrrgghh, hate that..

Ah, Lori, I feel your pain. When I had a teleflora site I would fight with them ALL the time about the very same thing. I would take something off, they would put it back on. I would call and complain, ask to speak with someone higher up, I was told my site was now set where they would no longer add ANYTHING without my approval, yeah right, that never happened.

These items I am talking about are just common sense. Some examples... got this one the other day http://www.teleflora.com/green-flowers/green-orchids-arrangement/Go-Green-168059p.asp?strevar16=Recently%20Viewed%20Items

$39.99 including delivery

And this one http://www.teleflora.com/yellow-pea...s-185118p.asp?strevar16=Recently Viewed Items

$39.95 including delivery.

There have been others but these are the ones that stick out that have come from florist (not HQ) and the ones I could find on telefloras site.

Oh! I'm sorry that didn't seem to take effect - it sounds like you don't have that site anymore, but you're right, the only way to keep our 'auto-updates' from adding products to a site is to opt-out completely from our updates. It can be done, and should be done if you request it. It's not our favorite, truthfully, because some folks want to opt-out, but then never go to the effort of regular updates on their own and so then it makes those shops look like they're out of business or not well managed. That's the reason you have to push a bit if you want us to institute the opt-out for you. I'm sorry it's a challenge, that way. :(

We get a little big brother-ish about these things, but it's mostly because we want shops to succeed (because as I've mentioned before, we only have long-term health if the network has long-term health - which means a lot of balancing between the shops who do for themselves and those who don't.)

I have a select few of TFWEB products on our website under the Teleflora section. I use the prices from TF.com and then add the delivery charge. I know the the price of TF.com includes $7 for delivery but I do try to make it easier for the filling florist by adding their delivery fee on top of the TF.com price.

The products that I have selected are mostly arrangements that I feel comfortable sending keeping in mind whats available in most flower shops.
