I want to take a moment to thank people here on this board for their support in the last several years, however effective May 1 2004 It will be the last day of Blossoms Network Floral Services.

Basically for me, it comes down to being able to enjoy doing what I'm doing, and not adding any extra stress to my daily life. Right now I'm not having fun what I'm doing and adding too much stress each day, which I don't need. In addition I wanted to have operations closed before the Mother's Day rush.

Best wishes to all the hardworking Florists out there.

*For members you will receive a similar notice with your last statement*

Best regards

Same here Peter. I have been in aposition before and when you don't like it anymore or there is too much stress it is not fun, it is time to leave. I hope whatever new position you are looking at will be fruitful.
Best of Luck

Yeowch....

I handed out another 5 of your cards this morning,at The Clock!
I know your commitment to the industry cannot be questioned, so, it's not surprising that you put so much of yourself into BN, that it "used you up" before your time!!
thanks for trying Peter,
Mike

First thanks for the kinds words.

The one of the key reasons why I've chosen this path is while the World market had massive orders with so much International coverage which meant we would have 1000's of orders moving around the world but few of them ever coming back into the North American market place, and while we had reasonable order volume from existing members in North America, I have found most Florists in North America don't want a cheaper choice, and would rather pay more to other companies. As a company with it's Headquarters in Canada, and not in the U.S.A. we thought we would get more Canadian members, but it was the reverse, we had the majority of our members in North America in the U.S.A. As a Canadian I feel somewhat letdown.

We explored the option of going 90-10% and Florists couldn't come to grips with the concept either.

Perhaps someday if -ENOUGH- Florists in North America want a choice other than one of the BIG 2, this might be explored again as a business venture.

You mean you bailed on your customers RIGHT before the #1 wire holiday of the year? Great timing, couldn't you have met their needs first and maybe shut it off in the summer?

What are they supposed to do to get their orders out, and where is the trust?

Out of curiousity, how many members are you leaving high and dry?

I thought of going in the summer, and if I waited till the summer, then I would only be putting it off longer than emotionally and physically possible. Have you ever felt so stressed and pulled apart you wished you didn't get out of bed in the morning? Only so much pain and hurt one can handle, if it causes you to be ill, would you keep running your business, if your Doctors tell you to get out of it, what would you do? Would you stay or go? How would you like to cough up blood every morning?

Most members of BN are members of FTD or TF, and for those who are only BN members my Exec. V.P. will move their orders if they require it for Mother's Day.
