I tried to grab some pics, but, the battery in my digital camera went dead on me.
We had raging water right up to our doorways, both our shop and home next door, and the street behind us, was a torrential river almost 4 feet deep, with 5 businesses completely flooded out, and a serious muddy mess in the Tim Horton's behind us that is on higher ground.
There is a creek floodway just next door, and the "cowgate" that catches debris in the creek, was completely plugged up AGAIN sending a huge volume of mucky, yucky, garbage strewn water over it's banks.
The creek is still full, almost 10 feet deep, and our power was out for several hours.....
Yet, our shop and home were spared.....

Dang, glad alls well Mikey...

I hate missing storms...all my employees were talking about it this morning, and I did not even know there was one....musta slept thru it....

Here too...

Glad all is well Mikey,

We have had some nasty one's this week. My parents went without power for nearly 4 days. PECO power company is STILL running around fixing lines...more went down last night after some wicked storms went through...ahh the summer heat!

Go figure...ever since we bought our home in 1998, AND a 6000w generator (with transfer panel - the whole 9 yards) we have YET to lose power for more than 30 minutes. Our neighbors told us when we moved in that the whole street would lose power with nearly every big storm....usually for hours & days on end. But...not since the Rothe's have moved in!!!!

West Michigan here, we received 2 inches [on top of the 2 inches we got during the day] in about 1 hour last night. Woke up briefly about midnight to hear it pouring off the roof..... We live on a sand pile so no flooding to worry about..........

Share some!

Texas is HOT andDRY right now. Lakes are all down and fishing is just not happening! Glad everyone is ok.
