The NEW FTD Coverage USA ?

I just got rid of FTD the end of Aug. Today I get a phone call from my new rep, he offered me FTD, Mercury, and the web site for 29.99 a month. No Selection guide fee, no Mercury Access fee, no direcory subscription, no low sending and reciprocity fee. That's it, no hidden fees. A straight 1.50 for incoming orders, I get 20% for outgoing orders. If an order comes in from the website, they take 9.95. This is not just a promotion for a few months. They said it would stay at this price. The rep admitted to me that they had lost so much coverage they had to do something to get shops back. I'm not sure how I feel. I did tell him everything I didn't like about them, from the drop shipping to letting ordergathers in. He of course was sympathic, but just did the hype about how they are trying to change to help the florsit more, and that is what this is all about.

It is called Coverage USA, The NEW FTD, and he said they just started it about a month ago.

Anyone else get the call? What do you think?

they didn't offer that to me last week when my FSR and someone named Rachel stopped in and asked me to re-join.

Joe, I'm curious, with all your experience with them and the business, would you consider rejoining if ALL of what was said was true?

I can't find anything on the internet about this, do you think it's just another scam?

oh hell yea. my 2008 Break even point orders was something like 127 and i got in around 150-160.

If they would give me membership with Mercury, etc and no extraneous fees for $30 per month, I would re join. That would put my Break even point orders (just eyeballing it, not actually calculating it) down to around 11 orders for the year! You bet I would sign up again.

offered to towns with no current members. Don't even think about paying a fee for a website order! If you have your own site, tell them to back off.
Also there is a "green fee" which they started and TF is now copying. Get on the paperless (of course you'll still get the doorstop directory) statement and direct deposit if they owe you but block auto debit if you owe them.

Also get in writing that IF another shop in your area signs up, you remain at $29.99/month forever........

I just got off the phone with someone from FTD, asking if I would like to sign up for FTD.... I told him I was insulted that he would not realize he was calling an FTD member ( we have been for over 20 years). So I asked what he was offering... nothing for us I was told. GGGRRRRRR

You're right. I am the only florist in my town and surrounding area. That probably is why I got offered it. Why didn't they offer it to me before I quit. They didn't even try to keep me at the time.

That's a good idea to get it in writing to remain 29.99 no matter what happens.

I'm still thinking about it. I really don't need them. If you want flowers delivered to my area, you have to call me, or drop ship. I come up high in searches. I am going to have to think about it. I was so happy to be done with them.

Cricket's, call them and tell them you are quitting and I bet they will offer it to you then. When I quit 2 years a go they offerred me the world to stay.

I am Sooooo JEALOUS!

When we resigned (effective May1) I got ONE fone call asking me to reconsider.

It's absolutely devastating when even FTD doesn't want you back!:rofl:
