The Soprano's

I have been a fan from the beginning and have to say that I was disappointed in the last episode. I thought it was quite boring. There seemed to be random things just thrown in to take up space. For instance, what is the point of Jr. catching his car on fire, Tony driving out to the house Carmella was hiding out at and Carmella complaining to him that it smelled funny, Meadow not being able to park her car, the cat that stared at Christopher's picture, etc.

sopranos

been a fan since day 1. i think the send off was as lame as the last episode of seinfeld. it surely doesn't rank up with mary tyler moore, cheers & 6 feet under.
in retrospect, everybody expected a massacre. david chase delivered anything but that. a normal day with conversation (a show about nothing akin to seinfeld). however, everybody was waiting for everyone to get whacked.
i hated it....but it was probably great theater.
i can see them all getting together for a movie in the future.

I suppose the reason i liked is the same reason you all disliked it.

Yea, it was disjointed, but that is what kept you thinking about what was going to happen next.

O.K. admit it :), didn't you reach for the remote to "turn the tv back on"
for the last scene.

LOL yes I reached for the remote... and the words out of my mouth were truly Sopranoese... what the f@@@? Thank God I was in the room alone!! LOL. I did enjoy the episode but I hate seeing people throw up. I still can't see what the appeal is there!
Being of Italian ancestry and a Catholic I truly LOVED the Virgin Mary line from Paulie, and Tony's reply.... Priceless,... I howled.
:thumbsup

After seven years of us watching, I think they owed us some resolution! The ending was great but I want to know WHAT HAPPENS! I'm still ticked off that they glossed over Christoper's death a fw weeks ago, that should have been a major story. And what was up with the FBI guy?

movie

I believe its not over, they left all options open for a reunion episode or possibly a movie, I did love the cat scenes, very funny stuff!

My take on the last episode is, its kind of like the superbowl, overhyped! The championship games are always better than the superbowl, the sopranos peeked on the 2nd to last episode, which set us up for a letdown!

The paper here panned it. I've never watched it so I have no opinion. :)

Last night's Final episode, was classic Soprano's

How many times through out the 8 years did they leave you hanging?!

Those episodes never ended.

It has always been a continuation

Also, lets review, ... "good guys and bad guys"

Tony the "good guy"

Phil the "bad guy"

Bad guy got his head run over by a SUV tire!

Who started the fewd?

Joe

Theory I heard on the radio:

Tony died - an earlier conversation on death referred to death as everything going silent, then black. Every time someone walked in, there was a chime - except for the last moment when Meadow (sp?) reached the door; and the music went silent as well. Then black.

I haven't watched since probably second season ... but that's what I heard :)

Ryan:

I heard the same thing. Also, the flash back with Bobby and Tony in the boat.

but, I do have a question for YOU critics.

What did you want?

Tony dead?

Tony and his family dead?

Paulie dead ( which wasn't possible because he wasn't on the Phil's hit list)

What?????

It boils down to this

Does Tony get killed or does Tony survive?

It really is as simple as that. which way did you want it to go?

David Chase was brilliant! He left everyone guessing AND talking about it for the next several days!

That is why I liked this last episode.... it left us hanging.

I've only been watching for a few months. We don't get HBO, so I'm seeing it on A&E, but I think it's a few episodes behind HBO... I'm not sure. Does anyone know? I have no idea when the final episode will air on A&E.

I'm thoroughly addicted!

Beth :~)

Oh great.. I just looked it up. The final Sopranoes episode as #86. Tonight A&E is showing #40.

I was about to tell my husband that I wanted all the DVDs for my birthday, till I saw a price of something around $450.
