I noticed that this website is now on the 2nd page of a Yahoo search for Florist Victoria TX. I tried to find something on them VIA FloristDetective.com, but did not see it anywhere. Suggestion.....with ALL of the wealth of information on FloristDetective.com, would the consumer find it benificial to have a "Search" feature to look for a possible comment or page listing on a OG? Anyway, I do see at the bottom of their website they are AKA Send Flowers.

I too tried to find the straight scoop on a certain Michigan person but was unable to take the time to search thru all the pages to see what specifically his "sins" are. I have my own criteria and some are too strict for me to abide by, but skimming is the one I was looking for. A search function would be very useful as the site is very verbose.

Just constructive criticism.

Oh, excellent idea! Kind of like a Better Business Bureau. Really good idea.

Yesterday, I put our shop name in Google, (actually, 'rose petals asheville') to see how many hits there are on Google. I found that the results listed 'theFlowerguy.com'. Sure enough, our shop was listed along with 11 others from Asheville as part of 'their local florists'. One, I don't understand why they do this and second, I don't know how they can feel that this is okay to do. I checked other cities in North Carolina and they are doing this throughout the state and maybe the country.

I have sent them two notes to have our shop removed. In the second note sent this morning, I threatened to file a complaint with the Attorney General in NC and the FTC, if we are not removed from their site. I also stated that I will contact every florist in Asheville that is listed to inform them.

What possible reason could this dOG have to do this?

Thanks, Mike

Google favors websites that lean in the direction of "information." The Flower Guy website is basically giving Google what Google wants: information. If you notice they are not just listing florist info but also Hospital & Funeral info.

It is probably apart of a overall strategy to make Google-bot think the website is unique.

I've since wrote a little piece on TheFlowerGuy.Com complete with who their SEO is and his background which explains the approach he has taken with the site.

For those interested, read here: TheFlowerGuy.com

Won't be long till somebody from TheFlowerGuy reads it as I've ranked the piece just a couple of positions below their shop name "theflowerguy.com" in Google. In other words, if you comment on the blog they are likely to read it.

Hope it helps.
