Seems to me by two customers that I have been talking to lately, there should have been at least 2 deliveries for mothers day done by a florist.
I know the other shops was pushing their orders for monday delivery and I was going full pin on thurs, friday and Sat and Sunday, but it seems 2 orders was not delivered by FTD.
Must be that they had a hard time to reach us.
I also gained 2 more 100% orders because of this and I am working on more. More info to follow.

I want to ask also, does FTD Domestic retrans take a % off before they transmit a order to a non FTD Shop?

why do you care Luc.....

charge whatever it IS, that YOU charge for the requested product...who cares if FTD DR sub charges the client!!
Number TWO.....just because you are in "charge" of incoming orders to your area...DON'T get TOO cocky...just be your old loveable self, and everything will work out in time!!
Hugs and kissees to your BETTER HALF, and some of your much aligned luck!!
So, IF I was single, would you invite me to Elliot's Lake??
Mike

I thought

there was no FTD shop in Elliott Lake ??

So it would stand to reason, you would not get the orders. Perhaps they came into the other shop?

Domestic Retrans works on a credit card, since there is usually no member florist in the zip, otherwise they would show in the directory.

Hmmmm

Retrans using a credit card

Gee, BOSS, Retrans using a credit card begs the question - Do florists try to charge them sales tax too?? Wonder if anyone questions their creditablity or ask where they got the telephone number of a NON-MEMBER?

Ummmm BOSS...

Luc WAS FTD until this most recent directory...just noticed his shop, in the "No Longer FTD" category of listings.
the way I see it, FTD let slip a really important connection up north!!
it'll cost them MORE in extra charges, and credit card fees, than it would have been, just to give him free membership...oh well, the soap box continues to turn.....

Good question...I shal inquire on the tax issue

On the other I would think they are using former FTD shops first, then the internet just like I do:)

This is my third time posting my reply.

I am not cocky. What I was trying to say that the system of Domestic Retrans failed a few times for customers who wanted something deliveried for their mom in Elliot Lake. They have to look at this to improve the service they are offering. Maybe they should start using fax to transmit orders if the phone lines are too busy. Maybe they should have let me keep my merc 200 to receive orders fro them at no charge to me of course. I just did not want my name associated with an order that is undervalue. I did not want something similar to the Retrans fiasco where they are keeping 6 fleurin for every order they sent to me. As for the tax issue, FTD must produce to me a tax-exempt certificate from Revenue canada if they wish me not to charge the sales tax in Ontario. If not, they have to pay the tax no matter what.
As for the other 10 orders I got form FTD, I have now in my possession the sender name and phonenumber. I will be able to send to them a letter INVITING them to order directly from me next time, so there is no problems on delivery. I will be using this same system for every FTD direct orders I am going to receive, in hopes by Christmas It should all be in place.
As for the orders from 1-800 and order gatherer I DO NOT WISH TO DEAL WITH, get a automatic Sorry we do not fill for you. A Order gatherer list is posted by the phone and my staff is instructed to say No to these people.
As for the FTD florist that delt with me in the last year. They all received a letter from me, letting them know I was leaving FTD. If they wanted to continue to deal with me, they had to send it to me through teleflora or with a credit card. From the numbers I have, I will say most went through those venue. i
I am not being cocky, I am taking the bull by the horns.
I am working hard to get back what was taken from me.

To BOSS and Luc

Hey BOSS, save your nickle. Don't waste your time with silly questions from me. I'm just yanking your chain. I'd love to see the face of the accountant that was reviewing the monthly CC statement used by retrans when he or she comes across those "over authorized amounts". That would be worth the price of admission.

And Luc, you seem to have a plan which is better than I can say about most fof us.

Yep! Got my letter from Alpine recently ...... we too are out of FTD as of July 31st (members since 1936 ... and they just noticed us). We'll be sending Teleflora or CC
