The month of November we had two days at or above the "average temp". The man made lake to our East has been frozen over since Nov. 12. The little pond at our local credit union frozen since Nov 3rd.
Today I drove to work in a blinding snowstorm where you couldn't see two houses in front of you. Now the temp is 10 with winds gusting at 40 mph. Our forecast for Sunday, clouding up, snow beginning early evening...Monday snow all day, accumulations 12" to 18".
I think every window in my house has shifted and has gaps at least an inch wide (not really but .... ) And of course, the dumb dog loves snow so he wants to go out every hour or so to romp and he's never allowed off a leash so guess who has to go out with him?? :hammer:
It should be a very white Christmas here this year no problem. For the first time in a good many years. Keep warm everyone!

Rhonda... I can relate. I generally freeze up in October and have no hope for thawing until early June. ;)

I hate being cold and believe me, I am now!

Fun in the South...

Rhonda, I was thinking about you when I heard the forecast... New Hampshire seems balmy compared to Maine! Ours is coming...

We had seven inches of snow the Monday of Thanksgiving week, in Northern New Jersey. Unheard of! Schools were closed and everything. It was all gone within a couple of days, in fact it was up to 65 on Thanksgiving day. What's next, weather wise? I wouldn't be surprised if the forecast called for Locusts!

Went to sleep last night with green saying goodnight. I awoke this morning to a greeting from white and ice. Locusts won't survive this. ;)

I wouldn't mind a bit of global warming but only in the winter months, of course.

Heard something on NPR, a couple weeks regarding global warming and Russia. The Russian ag industry is welcoming the warmer weather in that it helps produce more abundant crops. Or something like that.

The earth goes through cycles and right now the cycle is warming. Wasn't it back in the 1980's or 1970's when the planet was cooling off?

It's nature not much is man made.
