After a SHORT DURATION, we can learn to effectively BUILD a HEALTHY outgoing business, without the need to "gouge" the consumer!!
This is obviously NOT for everyone...just those of you that have chosen this path, and the primary stipulation, is that you are NOT an order gatherer, and you DO NOT CHARGE for sending orders from florist to florist! I have some free web space, so, there is NO CHARGE for the first number of florists sending me all the details, and web site addresses!!

However must advise that we do have a $46.00 minimum on the no send. My logic is that I have to have a reasonable minimum to be sure the receiving florist has something to work with

Hi, I stumbled accross this old post, which sounded like a great idea! I tried the link but it doesn't seem to be active. I'm just curious if your still working on this project or if there wasn't enough interest or some other reason it's not running. I had a similar idea and several months ago I started an online directory which directs customers via hyperlinks, to other florist sites so that the the filling florist gets 100% of the order, and the customer gets more "bang for the buck". I haven't pushed the idea real hard yet but do get a few takers every now and then. It just seems that if people are tired of getting 20-30% skimmed off their orders that this would be a good idea. I put together over 50 web pages and am generating quite a bit of traffic but don't have very many florists listed to direct the customers too. Because....

in NO WAY, shape, or form, did I have ANY interest in creating the "perception" that I was "attempting" to lure other REAL FLORISTS that trust my judgement, into feeling that I was trying to set up an OG site!! plain and simple!!
IF I HAD launched this, at the time I wanted to, I TOO may have been put on an OG "avoid" list!!...I believe I was correct in waiting.......

I certainly did not get the perception you were attempting to set up an OG site! Your comments were pretty clear, that it was simply a "referral" site. And, when your offered this for free, I'm surprised you didn't have all kinds of interest! Some florists are spending hundreds of $'s on other directories other types of ads and with a few exceptions probably rarely recover thier costs. Perhaps too many people do not understand the importance of backlinks to their websites????
