Well, it happened again just now....Saturday 4:00pm est and in walks a Family for Sunday 1:00pm Funeral Lay out.

Blue and crew have worked 21 days in a row with no let up..and we haven't even begun to think Christmas.

All this $$$$ sure made up for a very bad November. See Things doo work out when the economy does the roller coster.

what does "day off" mean??
Even when you "think" you are "off" you're workin anways...so, what's the point??

Well Mikey I didn't want to include the other daily family funerals we have had since that time, I was just amaized by the fact that it's happed again at 4:00pm on a Saturday.

Sometimes we feel that we would like to provide all those flowers that they like but you only have what is in your cooler at that moment on a late Saturday and you try your BEST and you do it because that is what WE ARE,

The BEST! All of US Florists are the TOPS! at providing Miracles using our Talent and FLOWERS!. Never lose the Sale our you will lose something else.

Other than that...I'm still CRAZY! and WE STILL LOVE WHAT WE DOO!.
 
I'm just glad I usually can get one day off a week now so I can catch up on work that keeps getting put off until later.

A REAL day off, yeah right!:(
 
Being the designer, manager, owner, and part time delivery person most of the time now due to economic conditions here, it is not unusual that my weeks go by without a day off at one point or another. Yesterday, Christmas dance and funeral. Today delivered the funeral. Worst part, twas only 9 degrees, so had to cover everything (even with quick dashes to the van and from the van to flower room). Darn I would love to sleep in just one day this month. But, will take any $$$ I can get right now.
I remember doing this 30 years ago breaking into the business, now I still am doing it to stay in business. The circle continues.
And another Winter Storm Warning for tonight into Monday.
We got over 23" last weekend. Looking at 20 more tonight.
Seems that it's dumping on Maine and raining on Nova Scotia again.... at least the snow banks the house and helps keep it warm. Have a day!
 
Well by the time Christmas rolls around for me, 31 days straight. I usually don't open on Sunday but for Chrsitmas I come in, catch up on paper work and some sales trickles in. First Sunday, funeral also. December has been good for me. Hope this is the trend for the next week in a half. I try to catch up on sleep or rest before hitting bed at night.
All part of the trade. If we didnt like it, we would be working in a bank....

Yea!!!

We finally got some snow today! If it's going to be this cold I like to have some snow with it to make it worth being cold. Cold without snow is just one big bad bummer!

I actually took all of Sunday off , first in 3 weeks, but if someone had called yesterday would have been in with bells on , not rich enough to turn it away , the local funeral directors have all my phone#'s including cell and daughters just in case I'm visting there, I have nowhere to hide
