we have "acquired" front line seats for the Calgary Stamps/Winnipeg Blue Bombers game here in Calgary for tomorrow night, and I'm here to see a real football game, western style....not that pussy wuzzy 2 downs and out football from the east!!
It's very interesting when you know people, that KNOW people!!
We toured the entire Q107.FM station here in Calgary, and it's kinda intriguing watching, listening, and experiencing the "smells" of a 3 station facility working at it's peak efficiency!!
We should be so lucky in the florist trade....

Those who attended the FTD convention were so lucky :) Many florists got to tour McShan florist. The FTD scheduled tours were completely booked in record time, so Bruce arranged to have a few more bus loads of people make the 45 min trip from the resort to his shop.

Anyone who gets the opportunity should visit McShan's operation. It's just too cool watching how the whole outfit functions :)

hmmmm......

I don't know how a football game turned into a convention issue, but, Sandie and I had great seats at the McMahon Stadium in Calgary ( the manager's seats from a local on air station), it was a beautiful day, the 50/50 draw was for over $57,000.00 dollars, the house was full, the beer was cold, and the home team (Calgary) won......

but our Tabbies lost again . And this time they didn't even look like they were in the game , not even close , lucky it wasn't much worse. Watched only a few minutes in the 1st quarter of the game your were at and Winnipeg looked like they were going to run Roberts and the football down the defenses throat all night.

The Steelers are in training camp and since it's slow in the shop, we're planning to make the trip. Went to a gift show yesterday and purchase Steeler jewelry to sell. Our fans are awesome! Can't wait for Big Ben to take the field.

hopefully they won't end up into the same kind of ruckus like the Jets and Giants yesterday. I'm hopimg Reyton and the Colts have a monster year and can finally win in the playoffs. Would also like to hear the last from TO , he is just out to lunch.

But, , ,

Nothing beats the excitement and energy at a top level college game in the SEC.
Roooooolllll Tide! 9-3-05 is not too far away.

sorry but college ball holds 0 excitement and interest for me, much like basketball , yawn .

Ditto on the B-ball....but I beg to differ Sir on College Football....

Playing for the love of the game, generally produces better results than playing for a paycheck...the best plays I have ever seen all have come from college ball and many from Michigan :)

C'mon Boss how many playing University sports at division 1 are playing for nothing? They play under scholarships, so their education is free, worth ???$40,000. or more , many get money under the table ,and would skip the experience if the pro's would just draft or sign them out of highschool. Right now their are 3 girls from Mount Pearl NFLD,that I had the honour to coach , that are playing soccer for American Universities and getting their education and travel expenses paid for, and their are hundreds of other Canadian kids doing the same. My daughter tired out for both the soccer and basketball teams at our university , but couldn't handle the course load and the time involved practising and playing, so she concentrated on what she went there for in the 1st place , education. How many of those playing sports would be there if they had to pay and play?

Good point's Sunny

But it's a far cry from a few hundred thousand per game isn;t it.

I agree, they are being compensated, and I'll also conceed that many, if it were changed to "pay to play" would not be there...but I'll still take college over the pro's(?)...

Maybe it's the "Cry-baby factor" that is lacking in college as opposed to the pro's(?)....

probably because their money is not gauranteed like the pro contract and the coach can drop any would be troublemakers. Unlike the pro's where something like Terrell Owens , Jeremy Roenik. Alan Iverson are front page news for just spewing garbage evrytime they open their mouths.

OK...I Give.....

"UNCLE"........my Tiger Cats embarassed us again, embarrased themselves, embarrased our city, and embarrased our great CFL on live feed TV across Canada, and The US

Don't even know what the final was , turned it off in the second quarter , too ugly to watch , what the hell has gone wrong , all the promise from last year and now that 1-17 season is looking good . Enough to make you puke
