At present I don't have a web site (work in progress) I am qualified to level 4 and have 9 years experience in the florist industry. At the moment I am working from home while looking for shop premises. I am looking forward to shareing ideas and tips with other members, chatting and getting to know new people.

Hi and thanks for your interest in our community. Please expand on you and your business. Are you a full time business owner in your community?

Carrieanne the applicant is from the U.K. Their business registration regarding home bases, is somewhat different from the U.S. and Canada. However, I echo the gist of your question and I thank you for asking it. :)

No problem... there are many questions to be asked. :)

Hi as I said in my intr....work in progress, I am just getting started working for myself so I am in the process of sorting everything out if I can't find a shop premises suitable soon I will be working from home to start with but hopefully I will find the perfect shop and work happily ever after!!

Hi Tinkerbell, are you from widnes or Runcorn? I dont often see people list our area as Halton??

Have you registered with the inland revenue as self employed? This is the question the others mean. Working from home is one thing but being legal is another.

Do you intend to match your local florists prices or go a bit lower than them?

What work do you intend to do from home (ie weddings, funerals etc) and where do you intend to get your shop.

Just wondering before i cast my vote.

Hi again. Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.

I do think you need to get your ducks in a row as it were before becoming a member here. So at this time I'm going to vote no, but when you become established as a professional shop then please try again.

Thanks so much.

I agree with V. Please try us again when you are more established and "seasoned". Nothing against you personally, but we do try to keep this forum full of professional florist only. This is not a place for someone to learn how to get started in the industry it is for people already established.

This should be the quote of the year. (And always hot topic of debate)

Just for the record I am not here to learn how to get started, I have been in the industry for nearly 10 years, but I am in the process of setting up on my own...but hey ho! if you guys dont want me in your clique just because I haven't already got a shop then thats your choice.....see you around!!
