My husband and I are going to Quito to visit Ramiro of Flowers for Kids and the surrounding flower farms. Then we will cruise around the Galapagos Islands for 5 days. Ramiro has been very accomodating and has arranged for my husband to play golf.
Tomorrow we leave for Ecuador.

We are having a fantastic time. Ramiro and Salome, his wife are wonderful hosts. Sophia who runs Flowers for Kids is absolutely delightful. We have found Ecuador to be a beautiful country with friendly people. There are so many things to tell you all about that I do not know where to start.
Right now I am in our small apartment at Ramiro's, using his wireless to stay in touch with you all, my laptop works just as well here as at home. My husband is upstairs in Ramiro's apartment watching football.
I would say the best part has been visiting the farms, but everday has been wonderful. We visited 4 Farms, Flower Village, a rose farm and Valleflor which grows Delphinium, erygium(?), statice, and hypericum on Wenesday and Latinflor (Ramiro's farm-Babies Breath) and Fresh Cut Roses(a totally organic farm) on Friday. I have lots more to say but I have to get ready for dinner.
