Town's a hopping with lots of HOGs

The Maine H(harley)O(owners)G(group) Rally is here in our little town this weekend.
They will be the first motorcycles to ride the "Golden Road" - highway of the American Loggers (Discovery Channel) Pelletier Family. They will be escorted up the road to the side of Mount Katahdin at Big Eddy Campground and then back to the site of the rally (New England Outdoors Center) where they will continue with games, live band, and more.
This quiet little town is abuzz with the purr of loud pipes and an occasional blat!
Fun .... to have over 600 harleys at one time. Will try to take pictures of the "parade" this afternoon as they leave on their tour of the North Maine Woods.

We have a huge Music Festival here this week (GrassRoots). It is held for four days. My store is quiet for the most part because people who live here attend or they get the hell out of Dodge for the weekend.
It's very cool, lots of old hippy's flock here, and very interesting when a bunch of them take their showers at the car wash. Great entertainment even if you don't go!

We have a winter run here that has reportedly 12,000 bikes! It is totally amazing bikes literally as far as the eye can see. I've been the last 3 years and still haven't made it through the entire event grounds. They tell you they are closeing parts of I-95 for a few hours to get all the bikes through. We are having a bike fest this week end in Seaside Oregon. Population about 6000 normally. They are axpecting about 5000 motorcycles. This is the 3rd year. 1st year 300 bikes ,last year 3500. Will I see you Bloomzie???
