If you've filled out all the paper-work that the WS sent you, having advised them that you want to transfer the domain name from their control (on your behalf) to your own control, how long should it take them to pass you the access code/information? There is no closing of website(s) involved, just a "simple" domain name transfer. Anyone any ideas based upon experience with WS or in any other capacity?

Same with FTD, I got it within a couple days.....and I don't think I filled out any paperwork....I just emailed them and asked.

Thanks to the responders...just got the transfer from TF - took a little over a day, so not bad for them.

1 day turn-around seems to be the norm for TF. Except for one or two instances where they've accidentally taken down the web site instead of just transferring the domain, they've been really good at doing it quickly and correctly for our clients.

Now, the next step is what to do with your domain! Don't leave it at Network Solutions where you will be $35 / yr for the domain. Switch to either www.DomainsByStrider.com (ya, that's us) or GoDaddy.com as these are the two cheapest registrars around. (Pro members - watch for info on even better domain pricing!)

Will probably keep with Network Solutions until the end of term - 1st June - and, meanwhile, consider your suggestions or possibly other options.
