tulle puff??

It is something I make. I take tulle and make 6 small loops and wire it like a bow. Then cut the loops to give you a "puff." I then add a couple of silk leaves and tape with corsage tape. Then I clamp it into a wristlett band. The "puff" gives my wristlett more area to glue flowers than just the bow. Learned this techique about three years ago at a design show and I'll never go back to wiring. Remember, If you can't glue it - don't do it! Hope this is helpful:)

Well, I'm a wire and floraltape girl all the way. Inka taught us how to make tulle puffs her way and my mom makes them all the time so we always have a stash on hand and more so just before a prom or homecoming dance.

I could try to explain it, but I'd probably get it wrong. Inka? Sorry to put you on the spot.

I don't remember if Inka said to add pearls to them, but we do. We've been adding these tulle puffs to corsages for about three years now and the kids love the extra frill.

There have been a couple threads about "to glue or not to glue". There are many die hard wirers that switched and will never go back, there are many who tried it and went back and then there are those who see no need to fix what isn't broken.

The tulle puffs can be as diverse as you want. we use mostly white tulle and white or irredescent pearls in round and oval shape. I do have some gold, silver and black, but not many. I have used rhinestones and heart ovals in a heart shape also in the past. I have used some colored tulle, but you never seem to have exactly the right color so I don't use many colors of tulle anymore besides white or ivory and occasionally purple.

Oh Patty! You can spray that lovely tulle, any color, with designmaster. Last year we made this crazy neon aqua using peacock blue and fresh green. You can also spray sheer ribbons - we buy the sheer with the irridescent threads running through it, and spray away. Sure beats trying to match every crazy color these dresses come in with a whole roll of ribbon!

tracy

PS - if you wire and tape, you can also make mini puffs, with just a 4"square (approx, I don't really measure) piece of tulle, gather the center and wire & tape it. It adds a sublte fluff to your corsage - we would use 3 in an average sized corsage.

Hey I really like that one. We just add a couple and it enhances the corsage, but in your pic it is a major part of the corsage - I think it's very attractive. It helps that I absolutely love black and red! Oh - la -la!!!

Oh, it's not mine :) If found it in a search online. Here's the original site:
