To everyone who organized the ontario Conference, thank you for a job well done. Next time I will have to plan to arrrive a day earlier to socialize a bit more with everyone. Got there about 6:45 p.m. friday night and left at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and it was not enough to do everything. I will say it was a good and productive weekend for me. Meeting old faces and new ones, we had a blast. I hope Victoria that you can SAVE NOW for next year.
Lots of good food, music(thought of you Hugh on Friday night, you would have felt you where at home) conversations and drinking.
Lots of work is done to plan for this conference and it is worth your time to come down to the next one.
Also thanks Lisa Kahn from Teleflora for the workshop on Daisy. It was a pleasure meeting Folks from Teleflora and FTD.
Going ot catch up on sleep,
Love you all....
Luc & Debbie....
P.S. I was in Lisa Kahn Bed Saturday night.....

It really was a wonderful weekend!!

And for the record, there were at times 6+ people in Lisa's bed, but she was NOT one of them :)

The more, the "happier"!!....

it WAS a great conference, it had some elements of continuity, and some elements of surprise.
There was an interesting observation made during the weekend....florists REALLY like to party with each other..there are NO divisions of race, creed, colour, OR dancing abilities!!
Sometimes, the ONLY differences being how late we ALL were willing to stay up at night to MAKE SURE, that we didn't miss anything.
The FTD crew of Frank, Caroline, Michael, and Tim, pitched in with helping hands at EVERY juncture, whether it be 6:00 in the morning for setups, right down to the very, very, end, tying up loose ends, and ALL their energies and dynamics, were directed to EACH and EVERY florist attendee.
Teleflora's hosted guest designer, Celiane, actually seemed to mesmerize the design show crowd, and in her own sweet way, this talented young lady, with 2 sons, and a noisy cell phone, brought NEW and refreshing ideas to the show.
I have to congratulate, EACH and EVERY attendee at the Ontario Florists Conference 2003, some who drove for 11 hours to get there, and through the remnants of Hurricane Isabel, proving once and for all, even a HURRICANE is NO MATCH for the determination, and love, that florists have for each other, and that NEED to be with each other...to learn AND dance with each other!!
The OFC 2003 conference committee, welcomes the FULL participation of FTD AND Flowers Canada, Blossoms Network, and TF, for NEXT years OFC 2004....most likely in the north!!
Mike:)
