You haven't updated your blog in so long, that's hardly money well spent.
My issue with Blogger is that it's owned by Google, who will monetize everything by displaying ads on it. Just because ads aren't there now doesn't mean that they won't be in a year, or a month, depending on Google's whims. Then, your blog becomes an ad venue for 800-Flowers, et al.
FloristBlogs is $60/year, and we don't display ads.
Since we created and host our own websites, I added an open-source blog engine to the site. There are many available for free, and we were paying hosting already.
