I've moved so many times I'm used to it...honestly I can't stand the details of it. Having to disconnect one phone, get the other connected, cable, internet, etc...MAIL! UGH!! Especially during the holidays...AYE!!
On top of that packing and figuring out the logisitics of things. GRRR!!!

Oh I wish I had a magic wand...

Give thanks for the experience.

You don't need a Magic Wand you have YOU!!!

If anyone can do this I know you can!

Heck if I ever have to move, I think I'll call you for help!

D

Thanks Doug....that lake sure looks real nice to me right now...I wanna run away! lol
Seriously, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed, I do need to just focus on it in parts rather than as a whole....it will be much better if I can just remember to do that.

The hubby says- oh let's just sell it all! I'm like WHAT!! Are you insane? I know what he means when he says that but I do think he is a bit serious about it.

Luckily I don't have to have the house "inspection clean" since we've lived in it less than a year and I've kept it pretty spotless. So I guess it pays to have that Marine Corps lifestyle experience on my belt! HA!

Good luck to ya, my family was in the Air Force, we moved so many times. After I married we don't move!! Good way to get cleaned of things you don't want. Only carry what counts.Where is Santa going to come to? Make sure he knows your new address!

Santa will arrive in San Diego as planned...we're moving on Jan. 2 to Illinois...we're giving ourselves 3-4 days drive time. 3 cars, 3 adults, 3 kids and a dog! Praying God gives us sunshine the whole way even if it's cold at least give us sunshine!

Have to add I am getting worried. I'm nervous about the fact that I will be a "single" mom for over a year...yes, the hubby will fly in from time to time. I will be the only one present during those major events...boys first day of school, Nina turning 10! Stuff like that. Then I wonder WHAT will I do with myself once the boys start kindergarten in the fall. I'll have an empty house from 7:45 to 2:10!! My gosh! I think will he be able to make it for the holidays next year...will we have to choose between thanksgiving or christmas? We've never had a holiday apart once we started a family of our own. All these thoughts just swirling through my head.

Thanks Robin!

Hey Aileen, I really feel for ya girl! I've moved 9 times in the 18 years I've been married. Do you have any family or friends in Illinois? It will help to have a support group of family and friends! Are you planning on working at a local florist part time? Keeping busy will help but don't forget to take some "fun" time for yourself.

How are the kids coping with knowing they won't have daddy around for a while?

Take it one day at a time, one box at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff....it just drains you.

You'll do fine Aileen....and although it won't be easy, there are GOOD things and good times waiting for you in Illinois!
