The revolting spectacle of brawls has come back , Ottawa , and Philadelphia on Friday past , Vancouver and Colorado last night, what thought process was Todd Bertuzzi having , here I am a star player who is needed by my team desparately , attacking from behind a 4th line goon. When the dust settles on this act of gross stupidity , this may cost the Canucks their chance of winning it all, chances are from past suspensions on acts of this magnitute are at least 20 games, and maybe even the playoffs. The coach of Philadelphia and donald Brashear should get a ban for a while as well, Hitchcock told the media a week before it happened that they would be all out to injure Martin Hvalet, and when it didn't happen Brashear went after someone else which triggered a brawl. Ugly , ugly , ugly, need to weed the idiots out of the game .

I like Ottawa as a team, but they have some dirty sneaky players, who get away with quite a bit, and now the roosters are coming home to roost so to speak.

On the Vancover fight last night, they report there could be criminal charges filed.

Moore apparently has 2 broken vertabrae in his neck, concussion and deep cut on his face. Just crazy stuff. Now, the Canucks have no shot at the cup. I hope he gets at least a year, starting at the END of the labour dispute.

This was even dumber than what Marty McSorley did a couple of years ago, Bertuzzi is a star , on a small market team , one that can't throw money around ,and they need him on the ice , he can't help them from the pressbox. No matter how frustrated you get , it is inexcusable to attack anyone from behind , having played alot of hockey in my younger days and taking part in bench clearing brawls and fighting fans etc, I know how hard it is to keep your composure all the time , but there is still no excuse. This suspension will more than likely match McSorleys ,**** shame , don't think I can remember such a player losing it like this since Rocket Richard went nuts in 1955.

Brian Burke didn't waste any time, though .... Rucinsky, Bergevin and Sanderson in late trades today. None of them match Bertuzzi, but it's still a successful afternoon.

Bertuzzi is toast.....

he should be allowed to spend some of his "free" time behind bars! This is NOT a hockey player, nor is he smart enough to "face" his opponent.
In all my years...even the McSorley incident, doesn't come close...even Domi's cheap shot....was pale in comparison.
Bertuzzi needs to be charged, and convicted of assault, and battery endangering life period.
