In a beautiful balloon!

That's what Santa (my daughter and brother) brought me for Christmas. I'm so excited! I've called everyone I know, so now it's a general announcement here. :)

She actually heard me say once that it's one thing I'd love to do before I die. My family is the best gift, but I must admit, a champagne flight at dawn runs a pretty close second.

Hope every one is enjoying their day and time with family and friends.

Victoria.....

what a sweet thing to do for you...many more before you die I'm sure!!
Our daughter presented us with her BRAND NEW engagement ring last night at our family Christmas Eve celebration!!...there were 67 of us!!
We all sang a traditional "Mno hiya lita" to congratulate our daughter, and our new almost adopted son, just as my OTHER son and future daughter in law, from Calgary were on the phone!!
It was absolutely amazing....my very most special Christmas Eve moment!!

Up Up and Away ....

Victoria,

You will have the flight of your life. My Dad was involved with starting the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta ( hot air balloons) about 20 years ago and we were able to experience a number of flights over the years. Not only is it one of the most peaceful enlightening experiences, it is one of the most beautiful sights. Take your camera, take time to look over the land and relish every moment of your trip. You will love it. Other than skydiving, it is the closest you get to heaven.

The best part of the gift is her willingness to swallow her fears and experience it with me. She is a rare jewel and gift beyond measure. Pam I will treasure the experience in all ways presented to me.

Mike, congratulations to you and your family on the pending marriage of your daughter.... seems it's been a special holiday for many of us.

I ALWAYS KNEW Victoria....

that you would rise up above us all.
Also, while you're up there, could you catch God's attention for me, and let him know I've changed my ways....PLEASE!!

Victoria- hope you enjoy your special gift! Several years ago, Dad had a "list of things to do, list too. So for several years we gave him a special experiance for the holidays. One year an ultrlight ride another a swim with the dolphins , then a blimp ride and then a balloon ride- by far the favourite! He's 80 now and cherishes those fond memories and retells the stories each year! Have a wonderful time!

Mikey how wonderful to have a new addition to the family on such a special day! Congratulations!

My special gift was a phone call from my Navy son, it was great to hear his voice! He is doing well and his roomates are all fine too( I was worried about them after the helicopter crash) . We were able to chat for 15 minutes , it was a great end to the day!

Family transends all things doesn't it... stuff is just that... replaceable if one cares. Family and friends, the best part of life.

Mikey... God is already watching you and as always, is on your side. :)

Lorrie, I'm so glad you had such a great gift of talking with your son. I send prayers, along with so many others, for the safe return of all fighting and peace keeping, men and women around the globe.

CHR, I don't know about the "old" part, according to my daughter that will never happen to me... but you're right about stuff. She and I spent out first Christmas together in a while, so the time spent is more valuable than anything. We had a great time. We wore Santa hats to the movies (Chronicles of Narnia... AMAZING movie), had a great dinner and talked and talked. Yes, the best gift.

Merry Christmas!!!!!

When is this beautiful ride going tohappen?

I tell you, being with family is a lot better than any gifts you can get.
Even as I was so tired yesterday, it was a beautiful diner with all family members except one and 2 freinds.
WE ate till our belly ache, told stories, and later a few of us played a game.
Laughs were heard in our house.

Tired this morning and actually slept in an exta hours which is rare for me and took my time getting up today. I am at work for a funeral and should be back home for the rest of my day off in a few hours.

Congrats Mikey and Sandie...Who is gonna do the flowers>??????

Hugs and best wishes to all....
Luc
