Leaving for a much needed family vacation tonight. Havn't had one in 3 years! Were going to Asheville, NC then 3 days in Savannah, Ga, and 3 days in Charleston, SC.
Planning to pop into any flowershops along the way ( drives my kids nuts).
Looking forward to seeing all the historical sites and hot beautiful weather.

Two good stops to make - In Savannah Georgia - There is a shop......Jeffersons Florist if I remember the name right........THey are a great shop that has built a multi-million dollar business on funeral work.

In Charleston, Check out the work done at Bloom at Charleston Place - Two fabulous designers and two friends of mine - Ty Leslie AIFD and Ed Fisher AIFD

I don't think so. Won't get into Asheville till late saturday. We want to do the Biltmore Sunday morning - Husband is not thrilled at the $60.00 per ticket price tag, but I heard it's worth every penny. We are planning to go to Paula Deens restaurant and I will definitely check out Ricky's recommendations. thanks everyone

Biltmore IS worth the ticket price !!!!!!!!!! Two things though astounded me when I took the tour. First of all...As ornate as the house is......You will be shocked when you see how plain the bathrooms are......then I was reminded "This was called the 'neccessary room' and unlike today spa bathrooms and places of relaxation......back then you did your business and got out as quickly as possible.

The second thing..........Is how incredibly SHORT the beds appear to be.

Now, There is one thing that is breathtaking........Can't remember exactly where in the house it is, there is a balcony with the most INCREDIBLE view of the surrounding countryside.

yes the Biltmore is worth it and the winery there. You're going to love it!! Have fun
