I'm enjoying the vacation... I'm thriving on the goal achievement even more. :)

Part of the reason of going to the Bruce (besides being one of the best places on earth) was to hike a trail with varying degrees of difficulty successfully. :)

I did meet one of my September goals yesterday. My body feels it today, but in spite of that, I feel so very proud of myself. I successfully completed the Georgian Bay trail at Cyprus Lake. That meant climbing rocks, finding my way down the aforementioned rocks, scrambling my way over Pebble Beach (should be named wobbly boulder beach), climbing (yet again) something Alana called the Inca Flats (because they're NOT) past Horse Lake or Mar Lake or some da mn lake. I went to the top of the Grotto, Alana swam in the Grotto (not a goal for me). By the end of the trail we had covered at least 4 miles of hard trail, and I bloody well survived to tell the tale. I am very proud of myself... and I'm not shy about it. :)

On to the next goal... 10K walk on the 30th for Stratford Hospital. I'm beginning to not recognise myself. :)

Hey! congrats on reaching your goal - it certainly does reinforce the fact that you have been becoming more pysically fit, and I bet that feels GREAT!

Yay You!

And I'm not throwing a fit when I see myself in the mirror anymore. ;)

Actually Tracy I'm within 15 pounds of my original goal of losing 50. When I reach that goal I'll decide if I wish to go further. At the moment I feel so darn good that I don't want to fall into the trap of accepting the part way goal. It's got to be the whole enchilada for me (oh and I don't eat those)!

Way to go, V. Maybe some day you can up to the sunny north and we'll go walking together. There are some beautiful trails up here. As long as you don't mind an exuberant golden retriever coming with us. Gudrun

I hear ya sister! I just saw a picture from this past weekend, in a bathing suit. Not a happy moment, but it sure is motivating to get my butt in gear, and start living better.

Keep up the good work-out!

:) I don't relax really well at the best of times. Even worse now that I can move around so much better!

There is a glass of wine in my future today though.

Gudrun... my side business is called "Happy Tails Pet Service"... I would NEVER mind an exuberant golden! :)

I will take you up on that invite down the road and I thank you.

did you get as far as Cape Croker??

No Mike, we always go higher up... Cape Croker is nice, but doesn't offer quite as much as deeper into the escarpment.

I think Alana and I have explored almost all the parks at one time or another. If she and I could find a way to make a living there, that's where we would be. We hated leaving yesterday.

Next time I'll do the Halfway Log Dump Road. She said it's "amazing Mom". We ran out of time and I quite frankly ran out of energy!
