OMG. Sounds like stuff people might say to graphic or web designers. Sounds ridiculous in those other context. Not so different from us! Love the guy at the end telling the chef, "we'll pay this time but you show us how you made it and we'll do it ourselves next time"

To really gear it to our industry you could have a guy in the restaurant pointing to the menu "I want the filet mignon but I want to pay the hamburger price" and the hair lady go "can I just buy the dye from you, and you show me how to do the highlights for free, and then I'll do it myself"

We had a 'regular' customer visit us last week and he needed flowers right now. He told my wife that he was having trouble with his debit account but since he's been here before, we can let him come back to pay us, right? We're still waiting...

Shame on us...

If at times I get ask to do discount or freebie, I could jump up and down and do a war dance! Husband thinks I come off as being a B>>>>>.
So if he's around, I'll walk away and let him deal with it, it's not fun.

Yes, had a customer in today who wanted something delivered. I said the delivery charge is $5.00. She said " Its just up the street! You charge delivery for just up the street!" I said " Yes I do. I have to pay insurance, pay for gas, pay a driver, pay my car payment and these are all expenses I have to cover to stay in business, so I wish I could, but I can't deliver for free."
She still wanted it delivered even though she lived in the same complex and could have taken it there herself.....for FREE.
