Doing a fundraising party next weekend, very last minute request.

Theme is centered around a violinist. Can anyone suggest a site for tasteful musical accent pieces? Tried accent decor, nothing. Party shops all show tacky stuff.

Any help would be appreciated. jenny

Years ago we had plain brown mache violins that we painted. How about music notes? Lots of options in Christmas ornaments and decor with a music theme. Try Hobby Lobby or Michaels ~

If you have a large music store in the area they sometimes have keepsake type items.

Another neat technique we've used is buying music score sheets and aging them in coffee.

You could print off a large music note from the your word program, glue it to foam core, etc., cut it out and stand that in a bouquet, would look good and be cost effective. Glittered, it would also be awesome for an evening event.

You could use aluminium wire (Oasis or other brand) to shape music notes and then insert into arrangements as pics

Good idea ~ This would work for a big violin too...covered in flowers or heavily glittered.

I have bought miniature guitars from miniature.com...maybe do a google search for them..how big do you need? A thrift shop? School band room?

Got gold clarinets for a Clarence Clemmons event from Bonners.com or bonner.com christmas store online ....worked them into the centerpieces...

Thanks for the suggestions. Lots of directions to go in now...

Sometimes all you need is a little poke to get that creativity flowing ~ :poke:
