Hello everyone! My name is Lisa Killary-Swenhaugen. My husband Hakon, and I recently (officially in the last month) opened a brand new weddings and event business here in the "valley of the sun stroke", (Mesa, Arizona). Our web address is, www.heritageweddings.org.

I recently attended Phil Rulloda's Southern California School of Floral Design in Aneheim. Phil and his wife Cathy refer all of their students and highly recommed joining flowerchat.com.

I hope to learn all I can from seasoned florists in the industry and to share what I learn from my own experiences.

Our business is currently running from my studio that we set up in our home.

I hope you don't mind my asking, but I couldn't find any mention on your website about flowers, or wedding / event florals ..... do you offer these to your clients, or event theme design & rentals only? Are you an event florist, or do you sub-contract to other designer studios? I only ask because this is truly a place for those in the floral industry.

I love that you took a class with the Rullodas - it's a great first step! I'm sure one of the things you would have learned is to be licensed with the proper authorities in your city, and have adequate facilities for storing your fresh flowers .....
