"How are youse gonna do funeral work?"

Yes indeed...lost that TF order...we didn't have glads, none on the trucks today...

I did offer liatris, stock, larkspur...you get the idea..."what kinda shop don't carry glads"...I suggested she call another company...

Geez, you run out occasionally - it ain't nice but it's happens. :(

Audra
Some people are weird

Yes...terrible English and snotty to boot. :) No biggie in my little happy world.

Must be a shop that orders 20 bunch of glad a week and think all shops do that also....
Luc:D

NOPE, I ain't got no STEENK'N GLADS either....

Keep in mind kiddies, some folks are still stuck in the 70's and use GLADS for EVERY funeral order..

NOT in my shop, on MY watch...

Judging by the last two shipments of glads we got in here , your better off with out them, they sucked!! Certain times of the year the quality isn't good ,also if they use glads for all funeral arrangements it dosen't allow for much creativity. Must not be a problem to tell who did what arrangement at the funeral home

Tis TRUE....

when glads were NOT available, florists learned that they could live without them, and PROGRESSIVE FLORISTS, found out pretty quick that there are BETTER alternatives, than just glads, glads, glads....so, when they started coming back in limited supply, there were fewer takers tha before, and the growers found it wasn't necessary to spend a lot of time in growing them!!
And the few that DO come to market...are largely junk....
Don't gotta have glads....here either!!
Mike

They are beautiful at certain times of the year, but we stopped stocking them because we found we ONLY ever used them for funerals and often threw some out because we didn't get a funeral to use them in... nobody wants those big clunky things in anything but funeral, especially since they remind people of funerals!

That florist needs to go back to wire service order school and relearn selling STYLE and COLOR, not variety! Unless he's an 800-Flowers trainee, in which case he will be calling you again asking for white glads with pink edges mixed with red-striped parrot tulips in a lavender tinted glass pitcher and opalescent bow. No second choice. Deliver at 8:30 a.m.

We hav'nt had a glad in our shop since sometime in Feb. Had a funeral order that was specific with glads and I had enough time to get them in. Other wise we don't carry them either.
Personally I don't see the attraction...

Don't get me WRONG

I do like glads....and do use them...BUTT

ONLY when I can get Manatee Glads out of Florida....

They are by far, the superior glad greower on the planet !

Don;t use them much for funeral work, but have many customers that like to have vases of just glads, for some ODD reason:(
