Dave Ferrari who started Ferrari Florist in 1946 passed away earlier this month.
Since I purchased the business in 2005, I was fortunate to get to know him.
He brought us Birds and Ferns from his garden. He was an active part of our 60th anniversary celebration in September. He was 92. He wrote his own obituary and at the end said "Flowers only, please". (I knew this would make all you smile.) His funeral reminded me of a funeral of old. Flower tributes filled the entry way and were from one wall to the other. You really knew he was loved when you walked in to pay your respects. He had friends and flowers filling the room.
I knew you all would know how I feel. The Flower Chat community is so supportive.
