My primary web address is http://weathersflorist.com/ which is part of the http://worldwideflowersdirect.com/ website system which is operated in conjunction with the “24Hour Automated Floral Kiosk System” see video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bGh0KOYEQg I have 50 years of experience to share in all phases of the floral industry. I am a 3rd generation retail florist who has owned and operated a wholesale florist as well as a greenhouse grower & flowers importer in Miami. It is sad to see the profitability and viability of florists disappear. I have found that Direct Sales to the public by the Automated Floral Kiosk to be the solution for florist. Florist must brand themselves in the public’s eve in this time of wire service order gathering proliferation.

Filling to many orders at 60% of the money :tread:is a disaster and builds FTD, 800 Flowers & Telefloras brand on your back.

Do you still have your retail store also?

How did you find about FlowerChat and what do you feel you will bring to the table based on your many experiences
Then, most importantly, I hope you will be safe during Gustov...you are mightly close to Nawlins aren't you?

Weathers, I respect your experience, but I seriously doubt that the automated Kiosk is the answer to all our problems.

The performance of these kinds of things has been spotty at best.

Hi BigTed, Thanks for the comments and the respect of my years. There is no single solution for “All of the Florist Problems”; some are inherent with the nature of the being. Complacency, pessimism, following the pied piper i.e, the wire services & order gathers turning second hand orders into a deficit for the florist. Allowing others to direct market their industry and toss to crumbs back.
There has never been anything before like the patented “24Hour Automated Floral Vending Kiosk” what you are referring to “The performance of these kinds of things has been spotty at best” is a Flower Vending Machine that is like comparing a model T Ford to a 2008 Lincoln. Our system, sells direct to the public, runs a 3 minute video commercial on a 17” touch flat screen, interacts with the customer with speech and text, allows customers to place orders for delivery on the Kiosk and the florist keeps all the money. Orders that are transmitted outside of the owner florist delivery area are sent at a 20-80 split with a $6 bonus to the florist owner. Payments are direct deposited that day once delivery is confirmed. The only things it can’t do is make its own Floral Arrangements and spend the profits. The florist has an interactive web site that works with and mimics the Kiosk’s on board customizable Floral Selection Guide.
All I can say is if a florist wants to establish his territory and stay viable he must consider the patented “24Hour Automated Floral Vending Kiosk” its only sold to florist. This is an opportunity to make money and advertise your florist for free.
