web link not working on Google?

ok.. my site is FINALLY listed on the google local maps.. but my website link does not direct to my site.. says it doesn't exist!! or temproarily unavailable.. grrrrr..
any suggestions on WHY? and HOW i can get this fixed? the link works fine on other search engines btw.
 
ohhh jeesh... yup that's what it was...and that's what happens when i get all excited and RUSH! ..sigh.. so now i guess i have to wait another 4 weeks for them to get around to updating?? man..
 
You should be able to do a phone verification.

Its been two months and yes finally!!!!! my listing has been updated with images and REVIEWS!!!!

Hey Cathy I have someones attention at google!! They are looking into the HOLY MAP LINK for me!!!!

Hope to have an answer for us soon.

Twiggy update your listing and instead of doing the mail thing just do the phone verification.

how long do reviews take to come up on the listings for Google and yahoo? a couple of weeks or more? a couple of customers have told me they posted a review on Yahoo and I don't see them.

Well Twiggy don't feel bad I did the same thing!!! When I realized it and changed it since it was a newer account they wouldn't let me verify over the phone all my new info they sent me a post card with pin number and etc and that took 2 weeks now it says I have to wait another 4 weeks, UGHHHH. I need spell check on everything, LOL!!! Good luck!

Google Local does not pull reviews from Yahoo Local, but they have used some from from Yahoo Travel in the past.

They do display some (but not all) from CitySearch, InsiderPages, Yelp and Kudzu in addition to the ones placed directly on your G Local listing by registered Google users.

It took about 7 very loooooong months for G to find our reviews on some of those sites.

I'm sorry, what I ment was how long does a review take to be shown on the respective local searches? I'm guessing 4 weeks? and I'm also guessing that recent reviews will rank my listing higher?
I am making progress with my rankings.. but still not #1!
I have to add some links too.. where should I start with that? I'm in the Chamber, and have a link on the local funeral home's site.. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have his link on my site. I would also like to add the FloristDective link.
 
Reviews on Y local show up instantly.

G Local's do too, but they don't display in the thumbnail summary right away. I've seen them take as short as a week and as long as a few months to be added to the review count. I *think* it depends on how they rate in G's patented review quality score.

As far as links go, the inbound ones (to you from other sites) are what you really want. C of C, FH's and other local businesses help a lot in establishing you as local. Floral industry sites help reinforce you're a florist.

Link out to other business and information sites based on helping your visitors and establishing your credibility. :)
