I have added a bunch of my own work under custom floral designs and Bridal designs. Just wondering what some of the web savvy think. Any constructive crit is welcome and invited. This is my summer project, to get my website as good as I can get it to be. It will be a learning process and I welcome all knowledge. Thanks, Lori

Looks nice Lori.

I would make the font for flowerpossibilities smaller, to me it takes over the page, I would also move it off your front page, perhaps to your About Flowers page, or add a links page.

I'd also add Melrose MA into your keywords with out the comma....

Others will have more to say...gotta run!

well done looks a nice site. I do agree with Mark that the flowerpossibilities does jump out at you.
Also on your shop photo page can you think of better names for the images not shop2 - 3 -4 and the Alt image text for those photos just say ,picture.
apart from that all seem fine.

Just a few things to add to what Mark and Remus have already mentioned. Some may be "nit picky" but just observations:

* Add the towns/cities that you deliver to into your keywords (meta tags)
* Add the funeral homes/hospitals that you deliver to into your keywords (meta tags)
* If it's possible, have TF add a keyword search to your front page as well, if you click on "search" it's there but there should be a way to add that to the search option on your index page.
* You may want to replace the bride and groom's last name with an initial just for their protection.
* Give each page a unique title. Instead of all pages having the default "order flowers from your..." change it to "order Father's Day flowers from your" or "order graduation flowers from your..." The more relevant keywords that a page has the more weight it holds in search engines.

Lori,

I don't know how easy any of this stuff is to change since you have to send it through TF support but I hope that it helps. There are tons of other things that you can do with your meta tags to get picked up in the search engines but, I am running out the door right now.

ALT TXT... Shop name, City, State

Just a little trick :0

The flash on your camera is washing out some of the details of your custom designs. I'd duggest getting a tripod (if speed/space are a concern, get one of these jobbies: http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/291660751.htm), and shooting your arrangements without a flash, using the smallest aperature you can set your camera to, and a longer shutter time. I often shoot a series of photos between 0.5 sec and 2 sec.

I agree about the flash. I usually have good luck if I set the camera on portrait. No tripod so have to hold real still!

My fav. wedding photo is the downward shot of the table setting with the pink gerb. Really captures a moment! Nice designs!

It should be about you

Lori, You are putting all your eggs in the TF basket.

IT SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT YOU.

I am using a kodak easy share digital camera. It is automatic. I can try shooting without flash. I am still getting used to it.

Thanks for everybody's help on this. I am sure by the end of the summer the site will be as good as it can be. I am going to be taking alot more pictures in the coming weeks and instead of TF's pictures in rotation on the front page mine will be there. As for Tom's comment about all my eggs in TF basket, not sure what that means. Please elaborate. Thanks again for the help, I do appreciate it.

We filmed that Proflowers video with an Easy Share camera. Depending on the model, you can make some changes. As soon as I can find a couple of working AAs, I'll see what mine can do.

To diffuse the flash a little, you can also tape a piece of thin coffee filter over the flash, or just a piece of that cloudy scotch tape.
