Did a wedding this weekend and I did'nt forget the camera this time.

Was made with hydrangea and cymbid orchids. The orchids was on top of the hydrangea's. I did green cymbid on white.

Tied all together with bridesmaid left over material from one of her dresses.

SHe like it. I also did little simple centerpiece with hydrangea's. GOt nice colored pot from supplier and added hydrangea with green & verg Pitt.

The Cymbids where tied with a wire and added paper towel to give it a water source and taped. I then took the wire hydrangea and tied it to the hydrangea.

Was a real nice design.

So what do you think.

No sugar coating...I can only improve with coments.

They look lovely Luc and seriously as long as the bride likes it then it doesn't matter what another florist thinks of it.

However, when i use hydrangea with another flower in a bouquet, i tend to split the hydrangea head and wire stems onto them. I then make a dome shape much easier as i find the hydrangea on its own really bulky to work with. I find this gives the bouquet a more delicate look.

But, once again, they look lovely and i love the cymbidiums with the hydrangea, great choices. I also love the colours and the table centres.

Well done!!! you should add these into the wedding thread also so that people can refer back to them:thumbsup

Dido with Palms - and It's hard to see the true all around design in a pic. I think they are nice - The cym could have been a little tighter into the hydrangea - for my taste.. But my taste is not everyone elses! :O)

This was a hand tied and the idea was to have the cymbid floating over the hydrangea. It is really different than having an all around type bouquet.

And in that case - they are perfect!

.. I just personally like the roundy.. of course if the bride wants floating over.. that's what she gets.. regardless of what I like best!

Lovely Luc... and made even sweeter because we know the trials and tribulations you have getting product up to a place where the mosquitos and black flies are big enough to rape a chicken (I read that somewhere and I thought of Elliot Lake. ;)).

Nice!
I agree about wanting to push that orchid down a bit but if that's the look you were going for then :thumbsup as long as the bride was happy!

Brides these days seem to loooove their hydrangea and orchids! I could probably sell just those two flowers practically. lol

I know! Of my 8 upcoming weddings, just about every one of them has hydranges and several have orchids as well.

Nice Job Luc. I like the color combinations!!!

As always.. If the bride is happy with what we do.. that's all that matters.

As said previously, When I use orchids I like to tuck mine more, but if floating they want, then floating they get, as it's all about the customer!

I looked up Elliot Lake to see where you are and boy, you are a ways in the middle of shall we say.. Canada!!
I hope that your summer of flower purchases and receiving good products goes well for you.

Just what the others have said, if its meant to be above, its lovely and as i said previously, as long as the bride is happy that is all that matters. Lovely!

Just wondering what kind of feedback was you looking for?

Good grief I did just about the same wedding, mine more orchids though as that is what the bride requested. Exact same flowers however.
My Tayama orchids were AMAZING as always. I am not kidding, each stem had at least 19 blooms on them they were crazy, super awesome!
I took pics I will have to post them.
