I finally did it... after 8 years, I have successfully gradually gained back all 25 lbs I lost after doing weight watchers for four months (after back to back babies when the weight loss had HALTED ABRUPTLY).

So here I am... day two, ready to eat my left arm and wondering what the point value for one arm is??

Anyone know?

i stopped weight watchers after attending ONE meeting - the center is directly next to Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts. Not even separated by one strip mall store, directly in the next store, they share a freakin wall! :( That's just wrong.

good luck heather - I think you wear your curves very well :)

I don't think you have any point value for protein in the optima program...you could eat the whole arm free and clear, just no pasta or rice with it...

On a serious note, Heather good luck with your diet....make sure your choices are filling and protein filled...protein stays with you way longer than carbs....and fruits and veggies fill in nicely without taking away too many points...

I never went to a mtg. I do it online and that is how I did it eight years ago. If I can stay with it, I think it will take me twice as long though; 37 is a much slower metabolism than 29... plus I did a total 180 in those days, dropping regular soda, white bread, condiments like mayo, butter, etc and a TON of the carb overload stuff. I really never went back to eating THAT bad... but 22 pts per day???!!! Hell - I had 22 pts in just light beer last Sat night! :drunk:

Well...now we get to the real root of the problem, Heather! Just as I suspected...demon alchohol!

All those weight loss programs are expensive and for the birds...or the wealthy, or those that need their hands held. Calorie counting is where it's at folks! I limit myself to 1,200-1,500 calories per day. Make water your drink of choice, and drink lots of it! If you think you're hungry, drink a glass of water first. More than likely, you are dehydrated and the water will cure the hunger pangs. Key to weight loss is to also cut out sugar and white flour products. They make you hungry.

I used to write in a journal daily everything I ate to count the calories, but after two years, I know how many calories are in everything...with the exception of arms or legs! I would suggest starting a journal to really see what you are eating. First rule is...YOU ARE NOT ON A DIET! HEALTHY IS THE ONLY WAY YOU EAT...PERIOD! If you can't accept that, you're bound to fail. I lost 65 pounds in less than a year, and have managed to maintain the same weight. The real tricky part now is losing the next 20. I have to commit to excercising more frequently and cutting the cals back a little further.

One of the best tips I ever received was getting rid of all the clothes you have when you drop a size. I used to wear 1x and now I am a perfect size 10. Packing up those "fat" clothes gave me the incentive to get to the next smaller size and I can't gain the weight back, or I'll have nothing to wear!

Good luck, Heather! I never thought you had a weight problem...you always looked like a "hottie" to me!

Don't forget to get your five fruit and vegetables a day. I believe half a bottle of wine goes towards your five a day. Half a bottle equals 1 portion of fruit.

I joined ww about 7 years ago I lost about 2 stone but then they changed the pack and it just got silly and I left, put some weight back on. I rejoin with my sister but she put me off, so I left again. Since them I've put back on the 2 stone and put on another 2. If you cut me in half I would be my ideal weight so I'm looking for someone with a big bansaw to do the operation. Do you think I might miss half of my body.

You mean to tell me there are calories in beer???!!

Who Knew??!!!

As if Miller Lite wasn't bad enough... now I gotta switch to MGD 64! (1 pt BTW vs 2 pts for Miller Lite).

For God's sake! Get over the point thing and start counting calories! I'm allowing you 1,200-1,500 calories per day...staying within 1,000-1,200 will make you lose weight faster. If you wanna drink the beer, (MGD 64) you can have 19 of them for a total of 1,216 calories. You can have eight of them at 512 calories and still eat something. I was taught on the Trevose program (philosophy is all about calorie counting) that you can have whatever your little heart desires...just stay within your calorie total! Trevose really taught me how to lose weight and keep it off. I've been on Weight Watcher's and every other program out there...calorie counting is the winner!

I think you really have to watch the sodium though! What's the sodium level in those brewskys???

I don't know the freakin calories in the salad I made this morning??? Various lettuce's and other vege's?? Then later some cucumbers with a bit of balsamic - again no clue on the calories, green peppers as a snack (chose that over my arm)... and for b-fast iI threw together my leftover fruit salad I froze from Sat and some light fruit juice. See... nothing in a package with the amt of calories. Hence why the WW online. I type in the food and I pick the best match, adjust the amount and it journals it and figures it out for me. I even have it on my blackberry so I have no excuse if there is no computer nearby.

But now that you calculated the beer per day for me - I might just do a beer an hour starting with breakfast. Imagine how much fun I'll be by 4pm?? Actually with MGD 64, I probably won't even have a buzz.

HeLL... they are filling, Diane you may be onto something - LOL.

Easy peasy ladies. newcaloriecounter.com Shows you the calories, lets you pick from categories, and gives the WW points too. Even has your resturant favorites.

Funny, I looked it up night before last, when I decided to get in shape myself. I have to say the past two days work out with Gilad at 6:00 am is kicking my butt. And making it sore - Ha Ha. I did stick my tongue out at him when he made me do 2 eight counts of push ups.
