wins every week.....we DON'T BUY lottery tickets of any kind!!
Think about it......first, almost ALL the odds are against you, and here, in Canada, you MUST BE publicly identified when and IF a winner!
Even if you ONLY play 20 bucks a week...think about it...$ 1040.00 AFTER TAX dollars being basically tossed in the trash, while you frantically look for ways to reduce your overhead, and buy cheaper product for re-sale (as a florist).
and 2)....I DON'T want to hear from all my long lost relatives!!
I'll stick with the BlackJack tables at casino.
 
In Maine, if you don't pull in XXX$$$/week they take your terminal away from you so wouldn't work here. Every convenience store has one, every gas station etc. Good for them...hmmm don't think anyone on our "main street" has one .........can't imagine the "opening costs" for both tri-state and powerball terminal NOT in my future.

I agree about the foolishness of buying lottery tickets. Funny thing though, the former owner of Lubin and Smalley won the million (or multimillion?) jackpot several years ago!

I can verify these folks do a BOOMING business... I spent a week in their shop last summer...the lines before opening, constant at lunch... a full time employee that handles nothing but lottery sales... boggels the mind...
 
The great flower lottery

hmmmm there is a marketing idea in here somewhere. Maybe "buy 10 arrangements and be registered for a drawing for flowers every month for a year" ? Hasn't quite jelled but its inthere somewhere :boggles:
