Got a $10.00 tip from someone ordering sympathy flowers
Got a $4.00 tip from someone walking in for a small budvase...
Watched the Space Station pass by last night and again tonight....
Our Peregrine Falcon (on a webcam) seems ready to lay eggs tonight...(not actually "our" falcon but one a great group of people watch on the cam and interact on a message board, we also watch 2 Maine eagle cams)
Life is good! Spring is coming....the stockmarket is up a bit...heating oil is down to $1.50 in some places in Maine (lowest since 2005) and on Friday I head to our Spring Design Show in Rockport ME for a mini vacation!

Sounds fun!!! :)

Those Mini vacation helps big time.
I am away Friday for our play competition in Sault Ste Marie. It is only 2 hours away but it is away.

Beautiful weather lately....Love it, snow is melting.

lets keep this going.

I did 10 minute presentation at the business group this am and garnered a new corporate account. The cupcake bouquet was a HUGE hit and the caterer wants to use some for a cupcake sale she is having in April to promote cupcakes for weddings.

We had a 70 degrees yesterday and it was 50 when I left this morning and it smelled like SPRING! :)

I am planting 5 flats of Dusty Miller today! Awe, warm soil. And I am going mole hunting today, I love it when the snow retreats, it exposes the tunnels. Them furry bastards, I got a trick or two up my sleeve.

Chewing a pile of Juicy Fruit gum as I speak. I ran out of dynamite.

Will the chewing help the killing urge ?Are you serious about the dynamite ?Do I need to warn anyone about you ?lollollol

I've been told that by dropping chewed Juicy Fruit gum down a mole tunnel will attract moles and by chewing it they will not be able to digest and die. I just wanted to run around the property with a lit stick of Dynamite so that the moles will know and believe that I am serious about using Juicy Fruit Gum!

Well Thom, I heard if you pee down a mole hole it will deter them....you could always try that!! Or you could take my dad's approach, he loves to flush them out with a water hose and then when they pop their heads up he bops them over the head with a shovel.....sad I know. He's become crazed by it!! I find it pretty gross.

Rhonda what a lovely happy post!!

I am having a really nice week too, not because of anything specific, in fact i should be stressed as its mothers day on Sunday but the sun is shining and everyone is a bit more upbeat...

Suits me fine..... Have a great trip:spintongu

Great post great great great. :) Thanks Rhonda.

Thom, don't want to know.

Rhonda, we have a resurgence of Bald Eagles here in London. There are a couple of nest but the location is being kept dark... I'm glad.

My days (this week) are consisting of Kids Tours... it's March break. I'm having fun.

Do you use Juicy Fruit Gum in the holes? a very hairy farm woman taught me this trick... about once a year we don our sandwich bags on our hands and stuff holes Mole Free:)

I never chew mine first. we just put the unwrapped sticks down the hole. I probbably would hear so much complaining for the kids if they got to chew it first. Great reason for them to chew a stick for the three seconds they usually do

I've tried everything. I am trying to stay 100% organic so chemicals are out of the question. I did trap one last year with a spring loaded trap, but apparently not all. There are 3 new tunnel tracks now revealed. I was told by an old feller to use gum. I finished loading the tunnels so we will see.
