:soapbox: Can't believe that the Senators are wasting money on Hasek, they got rid of one of the best coaches in the world , because he couldn't win in the playoffs , although everybody knew they didn't have a goalie that was going to carry them to the cup, so what does this genius of a GM do , fire this coach , who consistantly got a lot out of his lineup, making them one of the top 3-4 teams in the league and sign a guy who spent most of last year in the Czech republic. Hasek will not lead the Ottawa Senators to the promised land , he was so-so when Detroit won , although he carried the Sabres to the finals a few years back , but he ain't a youngster any more and a low budget team like the SENS can't afford to give a suspect old goalie as much of its total payroll as Hasek will get.
