I'm going to get special cards printed up to include with any orders that we receive from our web site, The wording would be something like this:

Enjoy your full value floral gift

Your floral gift was selected specially for you from our web site
and ordered directly from our shop giving the sender the
best value for their money, and also eliminating any extra charges
that are normally incurred when ordering flowers by wire
or ordering from order facilitaters that do not own real flower
shops and often take exorbitant commissions as well
as service charges when transferring orders to real
flower shops like ours.

Durant's Flowers

Is this wording okay or do I need to add something more??

iNCLUDE

your URL, and other pertinent shop info, even if its on other packaging...

John I would not do this. Would the recipient have any idea of the issues you raise? Would they care? This is after all a "floral gift".
If you do it let us know how it goes.

I agree with Doug.

This takes the gift down to a financial level when the emotional level should be the most important of all. How would you like it if your Christmas gifts said somthing similar in the packages?

I can certainly understand your frustration with the current deceptive marketing out there, however. :(

I wonder, John...if you are going to do this, wouldn't it make more sense to send it with wire order flowers? The people using your site are already smart. :)

Also, I would be less wordy in what you're trying to say. Keep it simple..."To learn more about how to get more value in sending flowers call 555-5555." (insert your number here for all those smart as*ses out there. ;))

Honestly, if I were to receive an "editorial comment" with my flowers, I wouldn't be all that impressed. Another option is to send a information card after the flowers have been enjoyed for awhile. I've often done that with our clients...advise them to tell the sender to call us directly on our toll free line.

Caution is warranted....

IF you decide to do this, you open a can of worms.
I agree with Victoria, and IF you MUST, re-word your editorial, to read something about your order has been recieved from outside our immediate delivery area via a non floral agency, SPECIFICALLY designed to extra charge your sender. In the future, we recommend order by way of OUR OWN web site, or that of a LEGITIMATE PROFESSIONAL FLORIST, for MAXIMUM value, with NO EXTRA service charges....or something like that!!
AND, I'd apply this mostly to incoming WS's and KNOWN order stealers....
