Just got this order over the merc.....value would indicate cut bouquet, but I'm thinking they mean an arrangement.

What would you send, the gross total for flowers is 32.60

Fill to vaule, less delivery. So either a vase or basket style design, with del between 6-8 $ that does not leave much for flowers either.

North of my area (northern NY) that is a norm. We receive several of these a week. I used to call to see what they were looking for. Always am told the same thing by all the florist who send them. A fresh arrangement $25.00 plus delivery 6.00-7.00 dollars. We now just fill it like boss stated with a small, poms, carns, minis arrangement. We have never had a complaint on one.

Ours are all from legit florist, no order gathers! You would think that they would up their prices a bit when they see every order coming from us is minimum of $35.00 plus $10.00 for delivery and it states small arrangement, long lasting flowers.

It can be done.

Yes it can be done.....that was not the issue, the order was for 45.00u.s. and that left us with 32.12 cdn after we take out the 9.95 delivery and the g.s.t. (taxes) (small but can be done) just never heard of a "fresh floral" before, also this was from a real florist and they even list funeral flowers at 25.00!! and no additional delivery charge!!

We did send an ask message............and yes they wanted an arrangement in a vase.

This thread raises a good point...

I'm sure you all, like here in my store have a hard time getting the customer to spend more than $35-40.00 for the flowers unless it's for a sympathy order or roses...

Another good argument for putting the customer in touch with the delivering florist...(more to follow in another thread later today)

It's all in how you sell it. Our sales manager is pretty good at tactfully saying, "this will be nice, but will probably be pretty small--$10 would make it a little more acceptable."

you know what sux for the customer, they probably paid $50+ and will be getting a $30 arrangement. Not a knock on you BBJ, but on the system.
