Borrowed this from Ryan's thread.
Think it's appropriate under the circumstances.

Cancer is so limited.....
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot invade the soul.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the spirit.
It cannot lessen the power of
the RESURRECTION!
Need a little input from fellow FCers
Received a call this morning from a friend, regarding a friend of ours that was recovering, completely, from brain cancer.
32 years old, married and father of two small children. Great guy, deputy sheriff, well known and respected family.
Remission is over, and Sloan Kettering just gave him 6 to 8 weeks.
We've heard that there are organizations and foundations, like Make A Wish
for children, that are there for terminally ill adults that have little time and maybe a wish.
A group of us thought, as he is a wonderful father, that sending the family to Disney, giving the children one final wonderful memory, would be a good thing for them. Already contacted our local associations and many businesses that have generously contributed on short notice,
My question to all of you is: Are any of you aware of organizations such as these ? Could really use some input as I'm a little outgunned in this area.
Thank you in advance
Kevin
