While I was working in my flower shop today with lots of funeral work,
my staff next door which I own (card and gift shop) comes running in tellling me there is a leak.

It started to rain outside of the mall I am in big time, and it was pouring rain inside my store. I was saying this week that i was one of the lucky store not to have water coming into my stores.

When i say pour, it was like someone had several hose open on the roof and just let the water pour in.

Got major damage, loss product and time cleaning what we can.
Will be contacting insurance company on Monday so we can get repair done and they can send proper cleaning crew for the carpet.

Seems something up on top got plug and I got the blunt of it.

Oh well something else to deal with on Monday.

You mean you had something else planned?!? Seriously though, I'm really sorry this happened to you, best of luck getting it all straightend out.

good luck....

We had Major leaks last winter.... Took forever fot them to get it all fixed..

Hope your situation is fixed in a timely manner.

Man Luc, that's just lousy. We've had some hum dingers in the rain storm department this summer in Ontario.

Does the mall have any responsibility in taking care of the repair and compensating your for the damages?

Several ways I am thiking of going at this.
First with my insurance and they would go after the mall insurance.

Second, i would figure out the damages and charge them to the mall myself or take it off my next month rent if a claim with the insurance is going to put a hit on my own.

Luc I am sorry you had this trouble.

There is a bright side. Thank goodness it came from the roof and not from the sewer.

Doug

That's sooooo true! And soooo funny. :)
