OK all you gardeners! My kids got me 2 "Pee Gee" Hydrangea bushes for Mother's Day. Where is the best place to plant these? I'm probably zone 5. I'm thinking these would like some sun. Do you think full sun is too much? I am not a gardener at all and really don't want to kill these things. I think the tag says 8'-10' is their full grown size. Thanks for your suggestions!

Ooooh - luck you! Full sun - keep very well watered the first year, then they are easy. Cut off the flowers in autumn, to dry or compost, or toss. Cutting off the flowers after the season promotes more profuse flowering the following season, though they will still flower if you don't. If I remember correctly, they will flower smaller heads if they remain unpruned.

I had one I planted, in memory of my mom in 1997. I took it when we moved from our first home in 2000, but never got to take it from the second home in 2004 (too busy getting the shop up and running). Sure do miss it. Enjoy them!
