20 degrees.... 15 degrees.....

Yesterday the high here was +3... was below -10 over night.... right now it's a heat wave of 8 degrees.....

Put on some clothes down south will ya....and stop whining...at least if you can feel the cold, you know YOU"RE ALIVE!

Thanks, Boss! It's 18 degrees here now, and I'm thrilled that our furnace (at home) did not quit working as it did the last time the temps were in the teens. And since I do feel the cold, a bit, I thank God that I'm alive!

Hubby is down at the greenhouse checking on the plants there and on the truck, fully loaded to go out on his wholesale plant route today. We've had a heater fail on a truck before, and we lost everything on it.

Oops! Whining again!

Hubby has returned, and reports that the back of the truck where the plants are, is 34 degrees....

Boss, when your blood has had 32 years to thin out, the reality of the teens down here is like the minus teens up there.

Purrrfect weather for some of those " Left at the door deliveries I see ".
Cold here too but not as cold as you.
Talked to some of my friends that have gone south for the warmer climte and they're all flippin'.
Oh well !

My furnace did quit. I haven't had heat since last wed. and it's 5 degrees here. Am I entitled to whine????

I'm surviving, and burning lots of wood, it is actually getting to be kinda fun, I keep singing "Put another long on the fire, cook me up some bacon and some beans!"

Life could be worse, just gotta smile!!!

hmm -9 here right now, sun is shining bright, wood stove been going for two days straight with fuel at $3.69 gal, gotta burn lots of wood. Gonna look at pellet stoves, much "greener".
We "may" warm up on Tuesday to the teens.

On a business note:
when it this cold out are you doing anything special to wrap up those posies and plants. We are starting to add a sheet of newsprint for extra protection.

OMG it was 55 yesterday morning and I had to wear a jacket to go for my workout! Windy and cloudy too! Had to put an extra quilt on the bed since there is no heat in the house. Just to windy and cold for the bike as well.

You mean that kind of whining??

So sorry for all you frozen folks can't imagine delivering flowers at subzero temps, never mind being without heat in that kind of weather. Sending warm South Florida thoughts to you all!

Too windy and cold

For the first time ever I cut my walking the dogs short because of the wind and EXTREME WIND CHILL.

I hope I did not throw the earth off it's rotation by my actions.

I was referring to the weather guys on CNN and other stations that think 20 is cold....

House furnace is now D.O.A.
Oh well, gonna be a ten cord winter for us.
Not replacing it til spring.
Got plenty of woolies and the dogs have their own heated house.
( Wish I was a dog )

I am sitting in my store with my coat on. Dang its cold here in Minneeesota. When you open the door, it is like being hit in the face with a bag of ice. However, three teenage girls just left the store, they had on tennis shoes, no socks, little jackets.

Remember

If your furnace goes out and you start using a fireplace that has not been used much, or the chimmeny has not been cleaned you have to watch out for chimmeny fires.
