Does anyone know what white birch and sweet huck are "painted" with? It's been a hot mess here this year, working with both of these. The paint holds onto the branches fine, but it also holds onto your hands, and turns vase water cloudy and white.

The girls are commenting how dry their hands feel after using it, and are wondering what the paint is. I don't ever remember it being so "powdery" to work with in the past.

Oh my, no we don't paint it, we buy it painted. We've just been noticing that whatever it's painted with seems to be very very messy - clouding up the water in vases, and coming off on our hands when we work with it. Just to clarify!

Use a clear glaze over the paint. Just lightly go over the branches with it. Design Master carries the Clear Glaze. I have had to do this in the past with certain things that wont hold. May be frustrating to do this extra step, but not as frustrating as skipping it.
