It has been awhile since we have had any stick. They are predicting 3-4 inches. Enough for a small snowman and a few snowballs.

Should be gone by Sunday.

Yee haaaaa!

BUTTTTT. . . . The last time they predicted 3-4" we had 19", back in '93.

Send us the snow in Long Island.
Gettin really cold here !

add on another 7" today on top of the over 60" already on the ground....
now add single digit temps for Sunday and Monday after some more white stuff Saturday night and following the frigid artic air Tuesday, more white stuff !!! The pic is the first storm we had back in Dec.

That is beautiful. I love snow, I love the cold.

Red River Cereal weather.

Hey Rhonda,

They should have had mostly rain today. They've been whomped a couple of times in December and then the thaw/rain/thaw took alot of it away. They got about 2" early a.m. and then turned to sleet/rain. We were just above the sleet cut off and lucked out with just snow. Bring on those snowmobiles!! The town will be full tonight and tomorrow with them.

Glenn I'm east of You in Columbus MS....and I am PRAYING and making promises to god if he will just let that thing about the snow go away! Not real happy with the cold either! This is the south for gods sake, I want balmy....maybe thay need a florist in the florida keys or some island further south

Glenn, I listen to Sirius NA$CAR radio (channel 128) and the guys were laughing about Charlotte getting a dusting of snow. They talked about the panic, grocery store stocking up, schools closing etc. Today Steve Post and Chocolate Meyers were saying they were supposed to get more snow, up to two inches tonight and they were wondering if everyone was stocking up on bread and milk again and worrying if there would be school on Monday. They were having a great time with the whole thing. BUT I do know when it snowed in Beaufort SC when my daughter was there, she had the webcam out the window showing me her then hubby playing in the snow and said she couldn't understand how people couldn't drive in it !!:rofl::rofl:

Being a Yankee by . . . .

birth (Michigan) and a Southerner by the Grace of God I know about snow and I don't mind the amount we get here.

Rhonda,
The shelves are cleaned out here.

Tammy,
My sister (who lost her home to Katrina) now lives in MS near Memphis. She and her husband went to FL for the winter.

We will never forget the snow in '93. It was amazing.

I just want to come visit! Going to be pretty cold here and hardly any snow. I have said all week I wish it would snow a foot here. No one else agrees.

Anyone who likes can come to Miami where we have no snow and temps are in the 70's for a low. Don't want the snow either but would like to have slightly lower temps.

We had a beautiful snow, 2-4", on Wed. p.m., the prettiest I've seen in many years. The schools did close, and I'm certain that the shelves at the grocery store were empty of bread and milk. It's a part of our culture, Folks.

The traffic in front of my shop is usually bumper to bumper from 5:30-6:30 every afternoon, but Thurs. there were very few cars on the highway during that time. Most folks are scared off by the TV announcers who love to make a big story out of anything, and they (TV people) are constantly warning, "If you don't have to get out in this stuff, stay at home." Besides, most of us in the southern USA have never been around enough snow to learn how to drive in it. So, laugh away.

The Weather Guessers must have. . . . .

gone metric. They must have meant 2-3 mm instead of inches.:dunno:

I love it. You should see the disappointment on the faces :confused:of the "on the spot reporters" who stayed up all night to see the snow.

The more technology they get, the more I realize that God is in control and He is the only one who knows what tomorrow will bring.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

never mind THAT....just try "imagining" sitting in the stands on Sunday, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay to watch the Packers play.
Brett Favre RULES....he wears T shirts on balmy single digit days!!

Nothing like a foot of snow and temps under 10 in Michigan to get the blood flowing....

It's a beautiful, sunny day....cold??? Naw...it's just normal in Missuagain!

Yeah...not even frost this morning in Columbus. And @@@@ If I didn't check the globe and we are west of Alabama! New rule "will not post if I have a second glass of wine in my hand" Glad not to have to slide to work this morning! Now I have to make good on all the promises

Come on Mark, It's not usually that cold here. The cows are milking ice cream and the pets run and hide when you open the door to go out.....

Give me 35f any day over this!!!!
