I agree that deceptive order gatherers that list fake addresses and especially those that skim funds that are not disclosed are horrible for the future of our industry.

That said - who are we fighting for orders???

Personally I am not that worried about WB, JF, FST, and many others that are the focus around here. I don't fill any orders I feel could be or are (I check websites when I get an incoming) and I just simply forward them to the florist that lives for them and doesn't mind what they stake their shop name and reputation on. But I'm not losing much sleep over them.

Here's who I am worred about - 800PROTFTD.

It's all relative, and that said, relatively - they deserve about 10,000 times the focus that those others do. No make that 100,000 times the focus. Maybe make that 1,000,000 times the focus.

Why? Cuz they're looking to focus all.

Those others are minor in the big scheme of things. Those big guys are the ones we have to fear with their 20% discounts and gas credit cards accpeted and 20 flier miles per dollar and all the offers they put out that make us look expensive.

That's who I am fighting, and as we are all, whether we know it or not.

This is where I think the focus should be, and it in in my world, it is.

But as well all know.....

opinions vary

(This should be some good discussion fodder)

JB.....to be honest, we are fighting those entities, that have NO idea what a REAL FLORIST is.....
The "highest competition" we will have WILL BE from 800tftd, BUT, the biggest "price" we'll pay, will be those that just literally have NO store fronts, have NO hands on experience, and have NO "DIRECT" affiliation with REAL FLORISTS....THOSE are the ones that scare me the most...THOSE are the ones that will ruin the floral marketplace with the consumer!!

Guys, these are the same thoughts which keep me up at night.
